Bug Description
SRU Justification
Impact:
The upstream process for stable tree updates is quite similar
in scope to the Ubuntu SRU process, e.g., each patch has to
demonstrably fix a bug, and each patch is vetted by upstream
by originating either directly from a mainline/stable Linux tree or
a minimally backported form of that patch. The 4.4.149 upstream stable
patch set is now available. It should be included in the Ubuntu
kernel as well.
TEST CASE: TBD
The following patches from the 4.4.149 stable release shall be applied:
* x86/mm: Disable ioremap free page handling on x86-PAE
* tcp: Fix missing range_truesize enlargement in the backport
* kasan: don't emit builtin calls when sanitization is off
* i2c: ismt: fix wrong device address when unmap the data buffer
* kbuild: verify that $DEPMOD is installed
* crypto: vmac - require a block cipher with 128-bit block size
* crypto: vmac - separate tfm and request context
* crypto: blkcipher - fix crash flushing dcache in error path
* crypto: ablkcipher - fix crash flushing dcache in error path
* ASoC: Intel: cht_bsw_
* Bluetooth: hidp: buffer overflow in hidp_process_report
* ioremap: Update pgtable free interfaces with addr
* x86/mm: Add TLB purge to free pmd/pte page interfaces
* Linux 4.4.149

Modified "tcp: Fix missing range_truesize enlargement in the backport" as I found that our backport was different that upstream (which I missed when I compared the two). So with this modified fixup we are in sync with 4.4.y.
