Bug Description

The computer goes into suspend mode, and then automatically resume.
This happen when sleep is intiated automatically due to inactivity, as well as manually.
The suspend mode has already worked well on this machine, so I am confident this is not hardware related.

Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem?

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.18 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

I don't know exactly when it started since this is not my own computer, it's my wife's and she does not use it really often.

I installed the upstream kernel :
# uname -a
Linux marine-i5-2500k 4.18.0-041800rc6-generic #201807221830 SMP Sun Jul 22 22:33:11 UTC 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

It is now working as expected.
