This bug is missing log files that will aid in diagnosing the problem. While running an Ubuntu kernel (not a mainline or third-party kernel) please enter the following command in a terminal window:

apport-collect 1773364

and then change the status of the bug to 'Confirmed'.

If, due to the nature of the issue you have encountered, you are unable to run this command, please add a comment stating that fact and change the bug status to 'Confirmed'.

This change has been made by an automated script, maintained by the Ubuntu Kernel Team.

The first problem is that CONFIG_CC_STACKPROTECTOR is no longer a Kconfig option but is instead defined in a makefile (https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=2bc2f688fdf8808de4f36be563ccdb0bde7c0c54). The qrt security tests need to be updated to account for this.

Several qrt apparmor tests are also failing, this needs some investigation.
