Bug Description

With all kernel versions so far tested including mainline v4.15.4 the audio device permanently disappears even after a cold reboot once the headphones have been plugged/unplugged.

Looks to be a firmware issue; latest firmware has been installed but issue remains.

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.16 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

@Sorfrost: The acpi tables attached are for some reason not complete and cannot be disassembled.

Please do "sudo apt install acpica-tools" and then

sudo acpidump | gzip > /tmp/acpidump.gz

and attach /tmp/acpidump.gz to this bug report.

Only seems to occur when the PC has been connected to AC charger for a very long time. Unfortunately I cannot reproduce that situation at the moment.
