Bug Description

I installed ubuntu 17.10 on a Dell latitude 5285 detachable laptop.
Unfortunately, the webcams (both rear and front) do not work.
There is no /dev/video* file.
I tried upgrading the kernel to version 4.14 and 4.15rc3, but the problem is still there.
Below are my lsusb and lspci outputs.

After some research, it seems the webcams depend on a new intel driver which will be released in kernel 4.16:

A detailed answer to this problem is provided here:

In summary, these "complex" webcams need drivers both in kernel space and user space, and it will take some time before they are supported under linux.
If ubuntu devs can help to speed up the development of these drivers, this would be appreciated!
