Bug Description

I have a Surface Pro 4. I have problems with sleep and hibernation on my computer, because once it's turned on, the system won't wake up and you have to force the power off.

I have tried several kernels:

*The normal version

*linux-image-4.9.0-rc8-mssp4+_4.9.0-rc8-mssp4+-10.00. Custom_amd64 (special for Surface)

*The last 4.14 kernel

This issue appears to be an upstream bug, since you tested the latest upstream kernel. Would it be possible for you to open an upstream bug report[0]? That will allow the upstream Developers to examine the issue, and may provide a quicker resolution to the bug.

Please follow the instructions on the wiki page[0]. The first step is to email the appropriate mailing list. If no response is received, then a bug may be opened on bugzilla.kernel.org.

Once this bug is reported upstream, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-reported-upstream'.

Can you attach the output of `cat /sys/power/mem_sleep`?

Ok, I saw another bug you filed, it's about wifi issue.

If you blacklist the wifi driver, do you still have the suspend issue? Apparently the wifi issue you mentioned blocked the shutdown process.
