Hey, I tried the script solution together with the systemd service file. It works very nicely!

I noticed that you also have to run the script when the device wakes from standby (e.g. closing-reopening the lid).
For that to work, you have to add a few more targets to WantedBy (I just searched around, I did not test which ones you really need for that to work):

suspend.target hibernate.target hybrid-sleep.target
