Bug Description
Early silicon in Cavium cn99xx (previously known as Broadcom Vulcan) systems has an errata that can result in SATA hangs. Since this will be fixed in later silicon, and the impacted silicon will have a very limited distribution/life span for non-production scenarios, there is no plan to push a fix upstream. However, it would be valuable for users evaluating this silicon if Ubuntu could carry a workaround for this issue for the 17.10 cycle.
