Bug Description

After installing the kernel linux 4.4.0-83-generic, I try to reboot. The system stayed for a long time with a black screen without disk activity. I tried to reboot with the same kernel and I get a lot of messages as show in the attached file KernelBug.zip, file P1050781.jpg. To write this bug report, I used an old version of the system as shown in P1050782.jpg. Parameter system details are in
Capture du 2017-07-18 21-11-18.png.
I tried to boot with the recovery mode without success.
When I try to use "ubuntu-bug linux" I have this Error message: see Capture du 2017-07-18 21-34-34.png

Thank you for your help.

Best regards.

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream stable kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.4 stable kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.
