Update hung halfway thru on install pop up reports errors installing kernel etc

You may need to run the following from a terminal:

sudo apt-get install -f
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update

Then re-install the package or updates.

Hi Joseph

I have a script that runs the commands you suggest

Not only was this a fresh install but I have flickering icons from time
to time !

Appears this standalone install may have some more bugs beside this one !
