Bug Description

Update stalled.
Rebooted, ignored prompt to report system problem, and ran sudo apt-get upgrade. Was advised to run sudo dpkg --configure -a
Did that and ran sudo apt-get upgrade again. Was advised packages had unmet dependencies and to run sudo apt --fix-broken install
Did that and ran sudo apt-get upgrade again. Packages were downloaded and installed. Ran ldconfig and sudo ldconfig just in case it was necessary.
Rebooted and was prompted again to report system problem, so I am doing so now.

You may need to run the following from a terminal:

sudo apt-get install -f
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update

Then re-install the package or updates.

If that does not resolve your issue, please mark the bug as "Confirmed"

Thanks.

System has been working normally since reporting this bug, without further prompts to report a system problem.

According to man apt-get, sudo apt-get install -f is the same as the sudo apt --fix-broken install that I have already ran. I ran the sudo apt-get clean and sudo apt-get update commands that you described, followed by sudo apt-get upgrade. One new package version was detected and installed, so my system seems to be OK now.

Should we close this bug or try to figure out what went wrong?
