Bug Description

After resuming the laptop from hibernation, I opened Chrome and worked in it for a few minutes and then it froze. Doing "ps aux | grep chrome" hung, as well as "sudo reboot". I can run other bash commands fine.

This may or may not be related, but two weeks ago I upgrade the BIOS from 1.02.16 to 1.2.21. Since then I have the system has locked up where I can't run standard bash commands. They just return "command not found" and I can't start new shells because it can't find bash. On this bug report I was able to continue to run commands.

#1689538 is about the same thing, but when using Firefox instead of Chrome. (Do they use the same JS engine that could trigger the same kernel bug?)
