Dell laptop crashes when sleeping after removing from docking station

Bug Description
If I remove my laptop from the docking station, and then close the lid (which brings the computer to sleeping mode - "mise en veille" in French- meaning it turns off the screen), the computer freezes, stay black and the only thing I can do is to hardware reboot.

Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem?
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/KernelMainl ineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.11 kernel[0].
