Bug Description

I did a fresh install of ubuntu 16.04.1 on an asus x556uak laptop and noticed that when connected to AC and the battery is not charging the system shows the battery icon as discharging , but when the battery has discharged a little and when connected again it charges, then system shows the battery icon as connected to AC and charging.

This is the output of `upower -d`

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.10 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

Hello Joseph Salisbury, I cannot test another kernel in my ssd install because I'm currently using a module that solves a bluetooth bug which works only with my current kernel, as you can see from here:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1653843
http://askubuntu.com/questions/867645/bluetooth-not-discovering-any-devices-on-ubuntu-16-04

I can however install ubuntu 16.04 in a usb key and boot it and install the latest kernel into it, and try it with the same laptop.
