I'm running this Ubuntu on VMware Fusion. It's my development machine. Host is OS X Yosemite.

The machine has been in active use 2 years without problem.

You may need to run the following from a terminal:

sudo apt-get install -f
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update

Then re-install the package or updates.
