Bug Description

I have two error messages on my Asustek UX32A laptop.
They are:

Jul 12 12:23:23 norbert-flash kernel: [ 21.384213] [drm:gen6_sanitize_pm] *ERROR* Power management discrepancy: GEN6_RP_INTERRUPT_LIMITS expected 18000000, was 12060000
Jul 12 15:23:43 norbert-flash kernel: [ 41.084122] [drm:gen6_sanitize_pm] *ERROR* Power management discrepancy: GEN6_RP_INTERRUPT_LIMITS expected 18070000, was 18000000

It seems that 3.2 kernel is not compatible with my CPU/GPU (Intel i7-3537U).

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.7 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

I tested 14.04 LTS, 16.04 LTS, 16.10 (with both kernels - ordinary and mainline) - the bug exists only on 12.04 LTS with 3.2 kernel. So the bug is 'Confirmed' and I added 'kernel-fixed-upstream' tag.

Thank you, Joseph!
