Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem?

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.7-rc1 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

imi415, to clarify, did you test this config change on your hardware and then your battery information became available?

This issue was here since a clean install. I've tested with latest 4.7.0rc2 kernel and the issue exists. Battery info is not available. The first comment contains the solution from ArchWiki, which needs to build my own kernel. I haven't test it myself on the tablet, though. The bios config has nothing associated with battery, acpi or i2c, so I didn't try to modify it.

imi415, could you please test the config change and advise to the results?

First I thank you all for reply. I tried to recompile the kernel but I found out that this config has already been enabled. Then I found that this problem is caused by the kernel is lack of AXP288 PMIC driver, not the kernel itself.(ref: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88471 ) Thank you again for patience.

Since this bug is pretty old, and with the comment in #19 can you give a newer kernel a try to see if it can solve your problem?
