Bug Description

Hi there,
Could you please enable the following kernel options in 16.04 LTS i386 kernel?

CONFIG_X86_LEGACY_VM86
CONFIG_VM86

The same issue occurred in Wily, but was raised and fixed in bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1499089 . I had expected that that fix would have automatically carried over to the next release, but it seems it was not.

Thanks,

Andrew

As for the previous case (my comment https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1499089/comments/4) this is an important application for us, and having the VM86 option possible is pretty much essential for the machine to be usable in out real-time case.
