linux: auto-generate the reconstruct information from the git tag

Bug Description

We need to reconstruct the tree to replace links and remove deleted files as these can and do affect behaviour of the build when building on a buildd from a source built with a .orig.

We should be able to intuit all of this information from the git delta from the original versions.
