Bug Description

The current ubuntu-trusty/master branch which is at a414b09 (tag: Ubuntu-3.13.0-79.123) contains a coherence bug in the format of the DMI version. I suspect this bug to be present in other kernel versions and ubuntu releases. See the attached patch for description.

This bug is missing log files that will aid in diagnosing the problem. From a terminal window please run:

apport-collect 1550373

and then change the status of the bug to 'Confirmed'.

This is a source bug and the problem is already diagnosed. The patch contains all required information.
