Sorry, I'm not sure I undertand your question. Are you asking if a kernel
update addressed my issues?

I installed Ubuntu 15.10 and tried the fix suggested by Simone on
14-12-2015, this worked for me. I am planning to install 16.04 in a couple
of months and hope the sound issue is solved in this release.
