install ubuntu12.04.5(Legacy) at onboard SATA controller with Qlogic QLE2562 and 2308 mezz card. and run warm boot overnight. And SEL has "Rebuild/Remap in progress" events. Please refer to the attachment file.

1.install ubuntu12.04.5(Legacy) at onboard SATA controller with Qlogic QLE2562 and 2308 mezz card.
2. run warm boot overnight. And SEL has "Rebuild/Remap in progress" events.

Expected Behavior
==============================
SEL doesn't have any abnormal event during warn boot.

The SOS report Quanta collected after reproducing the issue.

1. Only attach one HDD on slot1.
2. "Rebuild/Remap in progress" is from SEL event logs.

Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem?

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.3 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

Update kernel to 4.3, retest warmboot cycles.
Run 315 cycles, system doesn't find this issue.
BMC SEL would not logged any event about empty slot.
But sometimes system would hang on mei_me.
Event add mei_me in black list, system still sometimes hang on mei_me.

We'll keep running to 500 cycles to make sure this issue would not occur.
