Bug Description

What happens:
When the lid is closed, ubuntu gets into a sleep state.

When I open the lid, the system recovers from sleep, the display shows the screensaver, but the keyboard does not react on any input. I'll have to wait several minutes, bevore the keyboard accepts input and I can log in again. Mouse works normal.

What should happen:
When I open the lid, the system should recover normally and the keyboard should accept input to let me log in.

Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem?

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.2 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

Ok, I'll test it as soon as I get my hands on the system again.

So, test was succesful, it seems the bug does not exist with latest upstream kernel.

BeowulfOF, the next step is to fully reverse commit bisect from kernel 3.19 to 4.2-rc8 in order to identify the last bad commit, followed immediately by the first good one. Once this commit has been identified, then it may be reviewed as a candidate for backporting into your release. Could you please do this following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/KernelBisection#How_do_I_reverse_bisect_the_upstream_kernel.3F ?

Please note, finding adjacent kernel versions is not fully commit bisecting.

Thank you for your understanding.
