Bug Description
I was trying to install scipy using
sudo apt-get install python-scipy
It said I need to do apt-get -f install so I did so as SU. Then it produced and error code (1) in the terminal and produced an error in the GUI form as well. I told it to report the error, pressed continue a few times and now I'm here.

In addition, I've been having trouble updating my kernel. The process fails in some way and when I do a restart, I am unable to use any kind of input for the latest kernel. Neither the keyboard nor the mouse work.
The old kernel continues to work without problems other than this one, though.
