Same problem running Ubuntu 16.04 on Lenovo-B51-80 (AMD Radeon R5 M330 with open source drivers). The problem persists longer than 1 year for me (1 year of updates did not solve the problem). Not sure why importance of this problem marked as "low": the software in unusable, and I've been using Google Docs ever since.
