Bug Description
I've been playing around with powertop on gutsy and something weird is
happening after a random amount of uptime that makes the number of
wakeups go from ~100 to ~6000 per second and C0 residency ~50%. If I
kill the dd that's reading /proc/kmsg the wakeups go back to ~100 but C0
residency remains high. This number of wakeups kills my battery life
from 4+ hours to 3 hours at most (12 watts versus 18 watts)
Shortly after that klogd goes nuts and if I kill it the wakeups shoot
back to 6000+ again.
