Just to confirm, if you select the Ubuntu 3.19.0-11 kernel from the GRUB menu, the system will not boot? But if you select Ubuntu 3.19.0-10 it will boot?

When the system fails to boot, what is happening? Are you seen a stack trace, kernel panic or anything else on the screen?

Does the 3.19.0-11 kernel boot, but the 3.19.0-12 kernel does not?

The error message you posted is seen in the CurrentDmesg.txt log, which is attached to the bug. That dmesg was done with the 3.19.0-10 kernel.

What type of messages are happening when you try to boot the 3.19.0-12 kernel? Is there a message on the screen when the failed boot happens?

hi there, I don't have 3.19.0-11 installed, just 3.19.0-10 did a dist-upgrade and it goes to 3.19.0-12 and not 3.19.0-11, the error posted is the only one on screen nuthing more than that i'm affrade.

I noticed you have Intel graphics. This may be a duplicate of bug 1440724 .

Can you give the test kernel posted in comment #52 of that bug a try?

It can be downloaded from:
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~jsalisbury/lp1440724/

Note, with this Vivid kernel, you need to install both the linux-image and linux-image-extra packages.
