2015-03-05 00:38:12 penalvch description I'm using a fresh install of Xubuntu 14.04 (Description: Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS \ Release: 14.04) with latest updates on a Samsung NP305U1A-A05CO laptop (AMD E450 with Radeon HD 6320 Graphics) After the computer is suspended, either by closing the lid, choosing the option on the menu or by itself after the defined time, and then when I wake the computer the mouse pointer is invisible, however the hardware itself is working as mouse position and clicks continue working, only the pointer is invisible. If I switch to a console with Alt+Shit+F1 and switch back to X with Alt+Shift+F7 the mouse pointer appears and is back to normal. After installing fglrx 14.50.2 proprietary AMD driver (doing the modification explained in http://askubuntu.com/a/543836/378463 to avoid ocl-icd-libopencl1/wine conflict) including the Catalyst Control Center, the problem is resolved and now I can suspend and resume the computer and the mouse pointer is visible after wake up as expected. A similar bug has been reported here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1297144 affecting 21 people and I have been instructed to file a new bug report. apt-cache policy pkgname output (in Portuguese): xorg: Instalado: 1:7.7+1ubuntu8.1 Candidato: 1:7.7+1ubuntu8.1 Tabela de versão: *** 1:7.7+1ubuntu8.1 0 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty-updates/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 1:7.7+1ubuntu8 0 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty/main amd64 Packages ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04 Package: xorg 1:7.7+1ubuntu8.1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.13.0-46.76-generic 3.13.11-ckt15 Uname: Linux 3.13.0-46-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: fglrx ApportVersion: 2.14.1-0ubuntu3.7 Architecture: amd64 Date: Wed Mar 4 10:08:23 2015 InstallationDate: Installed on 2015-02-12 (20 days ago) InstallationMedia: Xubuntu 14.04 LTS "Trusty Tahr" - Release amd64 (20140416.2) SourcePackage: xorg UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) I'm using a Samsung NP305U1A-A05CO laptop.
