Bug Description

Hi all,
I have a problem with my EMU 0404 USB. ALSA doesn't change sample rate frequency when I play songs with different sample rate and I hear distortion sound. While I was googling for this bug I found bugreport with patch — http://mailman.alsa-project.org/pipermail/alsa-devel/2014-July/079103.html

I tried to compile the kernel with this patch and it works perfectly. For some reasons, this patch is still not in the upstream. So, if possible, add this patch at the next update of the kernel.

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.19 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.
