Bug Description

To better support the new architectures arm64 and ppc64e, we are planning to update the toolchain for 14.04 LTS. The toolchain is able to build the kernels in 14.04 LTS, but please confirm that the kernels built by this toolchain still work as expected.

please open tasks for the other kernel sources as well.

The updated toolchain is in the ubuntu-toolchain-r/ppa PPA.

deb trusty main
deb-src trusty main

Chris - have you tested all of the architectures ?

Chris J Arges (arges) wrote :

Working on testing this on other architectures.

I've run this on amd64, ppc64el (on virt) and it has booted and it can run simple stress-ng tests without any noticeable differences in failure. I'm also running the SRU regression tests on amd64/i386 and will report those results.

Chris J Arges (arges) wrote :

The results from the SRU regression test are similar to that with the older toolchain for amd64/i386.
