Bug Description

CID: 201305-13527 Dell Precision M4800

There is no HDMI / DP audio output availlable with nvidia-331 driver.

Steps:
1. Installl 14.04.1 + nvidia-331, reboot
2. Connect to a DP / HDMI monitor, try to change the output to it.

Expected result:
* After connect to a HDMI / DP monitor, there should be an extra audio output available.

Actual result:
* No extra audio output available.

Can you confirm if this issue happens when the notebook is using AC, DC or both?

Re-tested with 3.13.0-85 + nvidia 352, there is no HDMI audio output in both AC / DC mode.

Does the hdmi audio work when the nvidia driver is not installed?

This can't be verified without the nvidia driver, Xorg will crash when connecting an external HDMI monitor.

I checked with the Power-saving profile with nvidia driver installed, external monitor does not work (no signal, and it's not detected in the Display utility).
