Bug Description
I'm using Ubuntu 14.10 dev with linux-image-generic 3.16.0.9.10. Currently linux-image-generic depends on thermald but in my opinion thermald should not be a dependency as computers are normally providing their own cooling control on hardware level. thermald might be a nice enhancement but I think it would be better to move it from a dependency to a recommendation.
