dell-smo8800.ko compiles and loads with trusty kernel. A '/dev/freefall' will be created if there's a SMO8800 or SMO8810 available. We'll need a userspace tool to work with it though.

@Jesse Sung (wenchien): Userspace tool is in linux kernel tree (since 3.16 commit 3a57cc5f1935d824c36264e0fa888d7d6a9038c0) in file: Documentation/laptops/freefall.c

Works if there's an SMO8800 or SMO8810 in /sys/bus/acpi/devices/. The dell-smo8800 is already merged in kernel 3.16, so you'll need an utopic kernel to use it at least for now.

Userspace daemon can be found at

If there's any issue with this package, please let me know, thanks.
