Bug Description

After starting suspend, the screen goes blank, but the keyboard backlight stays on for about ~20 seconds or more, and only after that the suspend really seems to be happening.
Wakeup on the other hand is pretty quick, just taking about 2 seconds or so.

So, expected is a quick suspend (a few seconds at most), but what happens is a long delay (20 seconds or more) before suspend is really completed.

For the record: I'm using mainline kernel v3.14 on a daily basis because of its better support of the MacBookPro.
Same issue is still encountered when using mainline kernels 3.14 and 3.15-rc7
