Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.15 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

I have the same 7260 card. I tried 3.15-rc4 today, it didn't help. Fresh 14.04 32bit install. Wifi is completely unusable. Worked in 13.10 ~95% of the time.

I installed mainline 3.11 this morning and wifi is working just fine: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.11.10.9-saucy/

I would suggest this as a good workaround until the current kernel is fixed.

Youresorock, thank you for your comment. So your hardware and problem may be tracked, could you please file a new report with Ubuntu by executing the following in a terminal while booted into a Ubuntu repository kernel (not a mainline one) via:

I may have the same issue on my Lenovo Thinkpad X200 with an Intel 5300 wifi card.

With 13.10, wireless was fine, with 14.04 it disconnects a lot or ssh connections will "hang" for several seconds.

I've tried

echo "options iwlwifi 11n_disable=1" | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi.conf

(then rebooting) and

sudo iwconfig wlan0 power off

with no luck.

and still getting some disconnects, guess my issue is unrelated.

Eduardo: We recently incorporated some fixes into 14.04 to fix some disconnection issues seen with Intel 7260 wireless. Could you ensure that your system is fully up to date, reboot (making sure that you boot into the official trusty 3.13 kernel and not any newer kernel which you installed for testing), and let me know whether or not you're still having problems? If you are then we can continue trying to debug your issue. Thanks!
