Bug Description
Touchpad isn't recognized after clean install on Fujitsu U574 laptop. Running 'cat /proc/bus/
Name="ImPS/2 Generic Wheel Mouse"
Added GRUB params as per bug https:/
To /etc/default/grub, add to GRUB_CMDLINE_
i8042.notimeout i8042.nomux
And then:
sudo update-grub && sudo reboot
This solved the issue, touchpad works now. I filed a new bug instead of jumping on 1244634 because for me on this laptop, no tricks are needed to have touchpad working after suspend - it works after boot AND after suspend.
Will link upstream bug once found or created.

Looks like the boot command only solves part of the problem. Touchpad is totally missing from "Mouse & Touchpad" settings in Unity and also it cannot be switched off with FN+F4. Seems also that it is not triggered off when typing so it is super sensitive to accidental triggering and thus typing is more difficult.
