2013-11-26 02:17:20 N description Upon waking my computer from sleeping, certain games will perform less responsively than before putting the computer to sleep. To be more descriptive, the games' visuals will appear to lag slightly (milliseconds) behind my input from the keyboard and mouse. This occurs most pronouncedly with the game Awesomenauts, while slightly improving in certain parts of the level (perhaps less CPU-intensive areas). The problem occurs, albeit less pronouncedly, with other games such as Counter-Strike: Source and Left 4 Dead 2 (if not all of Valve's Source games), Beat Hazard, and perhaps other games in my Steam library I have yet to try. Restarting the computer rectifies the problem, and renders the games snappy and responsive once again. It is unclear whether the games themselves becomes less responsive (CPU-wise), or whether it is the result of another link in the chain (input, GPU, RAM, HDD).
