There was an additional bug that prevented the building of an i386 kernel up to commit 91bc033c4. I was able to skip that commit and built the next kernel up to commit:
b2a63431b49f4ef4df1ea5ddb799af48cfa349fc

The test kernel can be downloaded from:
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~jsalisbury/lp1242938

Can you test that kernel and report back if it has the bug or not. I will build the next test kernel based on your test results.
