Bug Description

Added a new device to an existing btrfs volume.
Running a balance operation results in the Kernel BUG attached.
From a few quick Google Searches, it appears to be a know bug with the specific Kernel Version in use and a patch with the fix should have been added to 3.11.4.

Kind regards,
Márcio Santos

Can you see if this bug is resolved in the latest 3.11 upstream stable kernel:
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.11.6-saucy/

If it is, the fix will make it's way into Saucy through the normal stable update process.

Already installed the kernel .debs.

Just need to get home and force restart the machine, because the balance kernel bug stops server from restarting using normal methods. Need to use "finger in button" method :)

Will update when tested.

I can confirm that using upstream kernel 3.11.6 allows "btrfs filesystem balance" to complete successfully.
