Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.12 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

I want to report that problem is still here. However, past few days error reporter does not want to send reports. It just pops up after booting computer after failure, I type su password, and nothing happens. It does not send anything.

I can confirm that I use:

Linux HP-Pavilion-g7-LV 3.11.0-13-generic #20-Ubuntu SMP Wed Oct 23 07:38:26 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

an problem is still here. Error reporting does not work any more.

If you can provide step by step instructions for newer kernel version, I can try with it. But I woild likt to be able to downgrade in case something goes wrong.

Ok, I upgraded to new kernel:

Linux HP-Pavilion-g7-LV 3.12.0-031200-generic #201311031935 SMP Mon Nov 4 00:36:54 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I can confirm that problem is still here.

1. when soft suspend (from menu)
1. when suspend by closing lid

New situation. After last night Ubuntu "base" update, suspend works, but after resume WiFi is not present (it does not show network adapters).
To connect WiFi only solution is to restart.
