This happened when trying to run an update.

My system is Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS running in a VirtualBox VM, hosted on a Debian 6.x system.

I hadn't run this for a while so there were a few more updates than usual. The kernel upadte failed and things got into a repetitve loop, comming back to the 'you have an error' everytime I tried to submit. I finally simply killed all synaptic and update related processes and rebooted. This report was generated after the system had been up for a couple of hours.
