Bug Description

I'm using Ubuntu 12.10. This happens both in the latest 3.5.x and 3.8.0 kenel.

My Syslog keeps being pooled with folloiwng errors and makes the system unstable - it crashes and reboots with out any error reports.:

Mar 2 02:14:41 fx4100 kernel: [ 243.038269] [drm:drm_mode_addfb], [FB:55]
Mar 2 02:14:41 fx4100 kernel: [ 243.038279] [drm:radeon_crtc_page_flip], flip-ioctl() cur_fbo = ffff8802136afc00, cur_bbo = ffff880211dfbc00
Mar 2 02:14:41 fx4100 kernel: [ 243.054846] [drm:drm_mode_addfb], [FB:54]
Mar 2 02:14:41 fx4100 kernel: [ 243.054855] [drm:radeon_crtc_page_flip], flip-ioctl() cur_fbo = ffff880211dfbc00, cur_bbo = ffff8802136afc00

I only assume this is my video adpater related issue. I'm using ATI Radeon X600 SE 128MB DDR PCI Express (PCIe).

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.8 kernel[0] (Not a kernel in the daily directory) and install both the linux-image and linux-image-extra .deb packages.

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

This was happening because of my faulty video card. I switched the old Radeon X600 with HD3450, then the issue is gone.
