Bug Description
I was previously running Ubuntu 11.10 on my T3400. No further updates were being offered, so I upgraded first to 12.04 LTS. I noticed that the built-in Ethernet hardware is not recognized.
Then I upgraded to 12.10, hoping this would be resolved. It was not.
Fortunately my T3400 has an added WiFi card and it is recognized, that is how I am able to go on-line.
But I wish the built-in Dell-provided Ethernet hardware was recognized. I don't understand how a bug like this can go undetected through software development and testing among peers, the T3400 isn't some isolated oddball computer.
