I installed kernel v3.8-rc2 and rebooted. I noticed one difference right away. I could suspend and resume without crashing. Before that was a guaranteed crash (black screen on resume, keyboard dead). But then just minutes after the successful resume I got the dialog box saying "an internal error occurred, do you want to report it". I clicked "Yes" and everything seem normal for a few minutes. It happened around 1:20PM PST if that helps find that report. Anyway, a few minutes later the same freeze occurred, cursor moves but clicking anywhere does nothing. The only thing going on was I was typing into a browser window (typing this). I restarted WITHOUT the second monitor plugged in. So far everything is fine. No freezes, no "internal error" messages. I have suspended and resumed 3 times while typing this without any problems. In summary, something was fixed in that I could come back from a suspend with the second monitor plugged in. Otherwise, it appears the same instability exists with the second monitor and everything is OK using just the laptop screen. On Mon, Jan 7, 2013 at 9:42 AM, Joseph Salisbury <
