Hi to all.
Since the upgrade to 12.10 I have a lot of problem on my desktop.
At boot time, I often get the message that one partition of the main hd it not ready.
The system runs from two partition on the same SATA disk.
/dev/sdc1 on / type ext4 (rw,relatime,errors=remount-ro)
/dev/sdc2 on /disk2 type ext4 (rw,errors=remount-ro)
It stops on /disk2, but when I press M to manually recover, the partition is already mounted and when e2fsck don't find any problems
Then almost every day it starts to get errors from the disk and the disk are automatically remounted read-only (obviusly at the moment I don't have a log of these errors since the log files can't be written... but I will add them to the report the next time).
After the reboot all the partition must be checked since the journaling file is corrupted
A couple of times I got problem with the ethernet interface (a forcedeth) that I can solve only rebooting.
Can someone tell me if this a real bug in the new kernel (with the kernels shipped with 12.04 I don't have this kind of problem)?
Or just my hardware is damaged (it may be possible, but it sounds strange to me that the problem began after the upgrade).
Giova
