Bug Description

Today network (connected via WLAN) feels very sluggish. A good indication for that can be achived by a simple ping:

$ ping www.heise.de
PING www.heise.de (193.99.144.85) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from www.heise.de (193.99.144.85): icmp_req=1 ttl=249 time=56.5 ms

After reboot situation was better - but still showed apart from normal ping (~ 50 ms) once in a while "bursts" of times over 1000 ms.

It's probably related to these messages I found in the log that are now appearing:
iwlwifi 0000:0c:00.0: Queue 11 stuck for 2000 ms.
iwlwifi 0000:0c:00.0: Current read_ptr 151 write_ptr 159

Can you boot back into the prior kernel, 3.2.0-27 and see if this issue goes away?

Chris, as per http://www.dell.com/support/troubleshooting/us/en/19/Product/precision-m6500 an update is available for your BIOS (A10). If you update to this, does it change anything?

If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

Thank you for your understanding.
