Bug Description

I'm experimenting with running Operating Systems, from USB flash drives, using live cd .iso, Unebootin, and Start-up Disk Creator.
In this instance the O.S. is Zorin 5.2. on a memorex 4G. flashdrive , running on a Gateway P-series laptop, with a dual boot vista and Ubuntu 12:04, 2.4G RAM.

As a side note : also tried gNewsense 2.3 to find Ubuntu like O.S. (able to upgrade), using the Gnome 2 desktop environment. (I found unity awkward at first). I tried using the terminal to gather information as suggested, the result is copied and attached.
I suppose this may not be a "bug" in the regular sense since the O.S. is not properly installed.

However I hope the information provided may be helpful.

Scott

You may need to run the following:

sudo apt-get install -f
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update

Then re-install the package.

If that does not resolve your issue, please mark the bug as "Confirmed"

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu even better. Examing the bug report it appears that you are using Ubuntu in a persistent mode on Live Media and that you have completely filled your /cdrom file system. When using persistent mode your root (/) filesystem is a combination of a persistence file and the /cdrom file system which really contains /. It is possible that you may be able to free some space using the command 'apt-cache clean' to remove packages from your local cache. However, you may want to allocate more space to your real root partition.

Attached is the result of running the suggested commands:

I seem to have sufficient space in persistence, approximately 1.7G , of a
4G usb flash drive.

I tried an experiment to install a couple of packages from the Ubuntu
Software Center: Gwenview and Alarm Clock, both packages seemed to fail
near the end of their full installation and appeared to be automatically
removed however, both packages were indeed installed and are functional.
Curious?

This particular O.S. seems to be running fine in all other regards.

Thanks Joseph, and Bradfor your attention;

Scott
