Hi guys, I have some more info for you;
This problem messed-up my 3.2.0-24-generic and it will not boot.
I can only get into the system by picking previous versions and 3.2.0-23-generic.
So whatever the fix turns out to be, I need to install it from there.
THX!

Can you try the following from a terminal:

sudo apt-get install -f
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update

Then re-install the package.

If that does not resolve your issue, please mark the bug as "Confirmed"

OK Joseph, I did it and I got the exact same results. :-(
It did say something about 3 file that were not previously installed or removed.
Sorry, but I was unable to capture it. It did not name the files anyway.
But I am sure it was from an update before the one that contained 3.2.0-24-generic.
... and the bubbling pot grows cloudier...
