Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

My media drive is not mounted.

I inserted a video dvd, started palimpsest and pushed the button "recognize media". The program starts but nothing happens. After some time the media drive stops rotating.

Similar problem as I rejected the DVD in the DVD drive. The DVD drive wasn't unmounted by the OS (icon was shown on the desktop until I unmounted manually).

This seems to based on a crash of "file manager". Every time I log out/shutdown "file manager" is shown as not responding.

Moreover the desktop icons can't be moved. Files that are stored on the desktop are not shown until I restart the OS.

It seems to be a kernel problem.
