Closing the development branch task as this is a hardy specific drop; we don't have a jaunty drop yet and we wont get a 2.3.0 intrepid drop (only 2.2.0).

Tested successfully from hardy-proposed.

I tested 2D and 3D and the updated libdrm and xf86-video-psb from the ubuntu-mobile hardy ppa.

How can we add proposed to netbook remix/hardy?

marduk, I'm not sure what your sources.list currently are; if you're using plain hardy, then this is already in hardy-updates.

I have a UNR Hardy installation on lpia

netbook-remix.archive.canonical.com archive was updated in January
with security updates. We plan to update it again sometime in March to
coincide with the next major UNR update. An updated l-u-m will be part of that
update and has an even newer version of the Pouslbo driver than
referenced here, version 2.3.0.32L.0201.

We hope to push many of the UNR updates first to a proposed repo so folks can try it out before it is released. Don't know the exact date yet, but you can add the following to your sources.list to be sure to get the proposed updates when they become available:
deb http://netbook-remix.archive.canonical.com/ubuntu/ hardy-netbook-remix-proposed main universe multiverse restricted

That's nice, but with the stability problems we've all been encountering couldn't you release what you have now? Just throw it up somewhere and provide a link. I understand if you don't have it all properly compiled and/or packaged yet- but this would be for hackers not end users, and we prefer source code! My point is that if you have something that is not publicly available and that is likely to be helpful to the community, why not release it? After all, this portion of the driver is open source.

P.S. I'm trying not to be a jerk- it's just that I am very frustrated with this hardware. If there is a reason all this code is being held back until ready for general public release (even when it's not) then I will accept that.

Well that's all in hardy-updates already.

The latest version of linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24 on us.archive.ubuntu.com is 2.6.24-23.37. This is the one with version 2.3.0.32L.0029 of the DRM modules. Mr. Filler just said that they already have 2.3.0.32L.0201.
